Gate Valves
Design features
Valve commonly used to control water flow to fire sprinkler systems is known as an OS&Y gate valve. OS&Y means “outside stem and yoke” or "outside screw and yoke". OS&Y gate valves operate by opening and closing via a gate, which lowers into or rises out of the valve.
Check Valves
Design features
Check valves are mechanical valves that permit gases and liquids to flow in only one direction, They are classified as one-way directional valves. Fluid flow in the desired direction opens the valve, while backflow forces the valve closed. Check valves work automatically and most are not controlled by a person or any external control; accordingly, most do not have any valve handle or stem.
Butterfly Valves
Design features
Valve which can be used for isolating or regulating flow. The closing mechanism takes the form of a disk. Operation is similar to that of a ball valve, which allows for quick shut off. There are different kinds of butterfly valves, each adapted for different pressures and different usage.
Pressure Relief Valve
Design features
Pressure Relief Valve is designed to maintain constant upstream pressure within close limits. In operation, the valve is actuated by line pressure through a pilot control system, opening fast to maintain steady line pressure but closing gradually to prevent surges. In addition to surge relief, this valve can be used for pressure relief, pressure sustaining, back pressure, or unloading functions in a by-pass system.
Pressure Reducing Valve
Design features
Pressure Reducing/Pressure Regulating Valve (PRV) are installed in water distribution system, automatically reduces a higher inlet pressure to a steady lower downstream pressure, regardless of changing flow rate and/or varying inlet pressure.
Fire Hydrant Valves
Design features
A Range 65mm nominal diameter fire hydrant valves is available for both on and off shore use constructed generally and accordance with BS 5041 standards.
The valves are available in three configurations with both Flanged and Screwed inlet such as:
Horizontal
Right Angled
Oblique
